ETFGI reports that assets invested in ETFs/ETPs listed in the US reached a new record of USD2.865 trillion at the end of April 2017. This represents 2,011 ETFs/ETPs, from 112 providers on three exchanges at the end of April 2017.
In April 2017, ETFs/ETPs listed in the US gathered USD36.09 billion, a record amount of net inflows for April marking the fourteenth consecutive month of net inflows. Equity ETFs/ETPs gathered the largest net inflows with USD26.41 billion, followed by fixed income ETFs/ETPs with USD8.83 billion, while commodity ETFs/ETPs experienced net outflows of USD889 million.
Year to date, ETFGI reports that net inflows stand at a record level of USD169.71 billion, while at this point last year there were net inflows of USD45.31 billion. iShares gathered the largest net ETF/ETP inflows in April with USD24.21 billion, followed by Vanguard with USD9.93 billion and Schwab ETFs with USD2.53 billion net inflows. YTD, iShares gathered the largest net ETF/ETP inflows of USD78.53 billion, followed by Vanguard with USD50.43 billion and Schwab ETFs with USD9.21 billion of net inflows.
