JP Morgan Asset Management today announced that Joanna Gallegos has been named Head of its US ETF business, reporting to Mike Camacho, Global Head of Beta Strategies.
Gallegos has been instrumental in the firm’s US fund launches, which have included 13 product launches with over USD1 billion in assets under management. She joined the firm in 2013 as Head of ETF Product Development, having previously worked at BlackRock iShares for 14 years, where she held a number of leadership positions, including Managing Director in the Strategic Product Initiatives Group.
“We have made great strides in our ETF business over the past few years, receiving industry recognition for our innovative product lineup,” says Camacho. “As we enter the next phase of growth in our ETF platform, we are thrilled to have someone with Joanna’s background and experience at the helm of our US business.”
Gallegos succeeds Bob Deutsch in this role, who announced his retirement earlier this year. She will also assume Deutsch’s role as President of the US ETF complex. Deutsch will continue in his role as Chairman of JPM’s ETF Board.
