Ultumus enhances equity and fixed Income PCF data

RELATED TOPICS

Ultumus, a specialist data vendor backed by the ETF industry as a central point of access for Global ETF, ETC and ETN data is enhancing its core ETF composition and reference data service to take into account corporate actions, settlement periods and fees.

This service will be made available and further customised to clients who are already leveraging the speed and delivery benefits of their standard ETF Edge service offered by Ultumus.

Ultumus’s overall objective is to provide a comprehensive data service and technology solution to manage ETF data needs for quality, timely and accurate global composition accompanied by detailed reference data across all asset classes. Data is validated and delivered in a single format (with all associated corporate actions) via Ultumus APIs (or raw data extracts) covering a broad range of some 240+ data providers.

The Ultumus ETF Edge composition data service aims to deliver the most efficient data structure for ETF/ETCs available, with greater transparency upon exactly how all the components of ETF calculation contribute towards the NAV, not only to furnish the client with the additional depth on provider models but also to enable Ultumus to accurately recalculate the Fund size and NAV (using independently source data attributes) as a key daily validation checkpoint.

The uplift in the equity ETF space is easily recognised across iShares products where shortfalls exist in the publication of the projected income components (ETF distribution, underlying corporate events, OCF accrual and SL accrual). Ultumus publishes all these additional data points and is thus able to reconcile to the daily NAV or at least promptly highlight differences should they occur.
