Quilter Cheviot (part of Old Mutual Wealth) has strengthened its presence in London and the Home Counties with the appointment of two members to its business development team.
Experienced sales professionals Brian Donald and Tom Kesterton have both joined Quilter Cheviot’s London office in the past month, as the investment management firm looks to expand its business development activity in the region.
These appointments follow the promotion of David Butler to strategic accounts director, and the recent appointments of Jonathan Buttress and Edward Walker as regional development managers.
Donald previously worked at AXA Wealth as a business development manager, and will be responsible for Quilter Cheviot’s business development activities in central London. Donald says, “Quilter Cheviot is renowned for its discretionary investment management expertise, and I am delighted to join a firm of this calibre. There is so much potential to grow our business in the London area.”
Tom joins from Artemis fund managers where he was head of sales support and a sales executive. Kesterton says: “I am looking forward to using my knowledge and skills from my previous roles to deliver an excellent service to Quilter Cheviot’s introducers and their clients and help grow the business further.”
Both Donald and Kesterton will report to Andrew McGlone, managing director, London Investment Management.
McGlone says: “Our latest appointments reflect Quilter Cheviot’s aim to provide the highest level of service to our current introducers, as well as continuing to seek out new financial advisers to work with our London-based investment managers.
“We are delighted to recruit both Brian and Tom to our London team. Both are experienced financial services sales professionals and are more than capable of helping us to achieve these goals.”
