Equity ETFs post highest net inflows in July says Thomson Reuters Lipper

Detlef Glow (pictured), head of EMEA research at Thomson Reuters Lipper reports that the promoters of ETFs enjoyed net inflows (+EUR8.1 billion) for July.

He writes that the assets under management in the European ETF industry (EUR582.2 billion) increased EUR4.6 billion for July, up from EUR577.6 billion at the end of June.

Equity ETFs (+EUR5.4 billion) posted the highest net inflows of the European ETF industry for July. The bestselling Lipper global classification for July was Equity Eurozone (+EUR1.5 billion), followed closely by Equity Sector Financials (+EUR1.2 billion) and Commodity Precious Metals (+EUR0.7 billion).

iShares was the bestselling ETF promoter in Europe for July (+EUR3.6 billion), far ahead of UBS ETF (+EUR1.6 billion) and Xtrackers (+EUR1.4 billion).

Glow writes that the 10 bestselling funds gathered total net inflows of EUR3.4 billion for July. The bestselling ETF for July, UBS ETF (CH) – Gold (USD) A-dis, accounted for net inflows of EUR0.7 billion or 8.15 per cent of the overall net inflows.
