Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global wealth manager and wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments, has appointed Gerard F Joyce, Jr as national head of trust & estates.

“Gerry has many years of experience working closely with high-net-worth individuals and families to help them achieve their long-term financial goals,” says John M Dowd, chief executive officer of Fiduciary Trust Company International. “As a proven, well-respected leader in our industry, Gerry will help us strengthen and grow our trust and estates business so we can continue to provide a broad spectrum of services to our clients for many years to come.”

He was also vice president and director of estate planning at Bankers Trust Co., and advised clients on estate planning matters as an attorney with law firms in Boston and New York.

Joyce holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Fordham University School of Law (Law Review) and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Lehigh University.

“I greatly admire Fiduciary Trust’s long and proud history of providing world-class investment and wealth management for its clients, including multiple generations of families,” says Joyce. “I look forward to working with the team at Fiduciary Trust to create strategies that address all investing and wealth management needs,as we continue to ensure that clients’ wealth is managed and passed on as intended.”
