UK investment management and financial planning group Tilney has appointed two new financial planners, Tyrone Samsonroy and Ben Gibson, who will both be based in the firm’s New Street Square office in London.

Samsonroy joins from HSBC, where he was a premier client manager for four years, providing bespoke financial advice to HNW clients. Prior to that he held roles at Santander Private Bank, as relationship manager, and Lloyds Banking Group, as a financial adviser.

Gibson has spent the past two years at Royal London Group as a business development manager where he was responsible for delivering strategy and propositions to a panel of key pensions intermediaries. Before this, he was an account manager at Scottish Widows.

In Tilney’s London team, Samsonroy and Gibson will deliver advice as part of the firm’s ‘two expert’ approach which sees financial planners paired alongside the firm’s investment managers to provide a high quality integrated wealth management service to clients.

Richard Dawes, regional head of financial planning at Tilney, says: “As we approach the end of Q3, our focus and commitment to recruiting the best possible candidates is stronger than ever. We are looking for planners of the highest calibre who put clients at the heart of everything they do while maintaining Tilney’s high standards of service. Tyrone and Ben are just the sort of planners we hope to attract to Tilney and I am delighted to welcome them to the team.”
