BNY Mellon Wealth Management names new Regional President in San Francisco


BNY Mellon Wealth Management has named Thomas Fickinger, CIMA, as regional president of the firm’s San Francisco’s Region. Reporting to Robert Kricena, president of US markets – Northwest, Fickinger will lead the wealth management business, including all aspects of the client experience, business and wealth director development, recruiting and business strategy.

Fickinger is a seasoned executive who joins with over 30 years’ experience in financial services in key senior leadership positions with Merrill Lynch both on the east and west coast. He brings extensive expertise in advisor practice management, advisor recruiting, fiduciary and succession planning to both corporate and high net worth clients.

“We are pleased to add such a seasoned wealth management leader to our San Francisco office”, says Kricena. “Tom will be a great asset to our team, allowing us to continue to invest and thrive in this important growth market for the company, while working closely with entrepreneurs and corporate executives who seek our services.”

Fickinger earned his Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in marketing from Penn State University’s Smeal Business College and completed Wharton’s Financial Services Program. He is a Certified Investment Manager (CIMA) and has completed the Leadership in the Twenty First Century curriculum at the Gestalt International Study Center.

Among other organisations, Fickinger is a member of Vistage, the largest CEO group in the world with more than 22,000 members, and previously served on the board of directors for Cal Performances, Northern California’s largest presenter of the performing arts.
