BNY Mellon Wealth Management has named Juan Alejandro “Alex” Ramos as senior wealth director in Greenwich, Connecticy. Ramos will report to Managing Director Chris Griffin, and will be responsible for business development efforts in the company’s Greenwich office.

“Alex’s skills advising high net-worth families around multi-generational asset allocation, wealth transfer techniques, the sale of a closely held business and cross-border considerations is a welcome addition to our existing team’s capabilities,” says Griffin.

Ramos is a financial industry veteran with 18 years of experience. Prior to joining BNY Mellon Wealth Management, he was senior vice president and private client advisor for several years at US Trust. In this role, he provided investment and planning advice to high net-worth individuals and families, and before that he held the position of director of Key Client Partners at Deutsche Bank where he was responsible for the firm’s overseas clients. Previously, Ramos also held key investment positions at Smith Barney and Citigroup’s Private Bank.

“We are pleased to welcome Alex to our leadership team in Connecticut,” says Mark Osgood, President – Tri-State Region, BNY Mellon Wealth Management. “We know his expertise will be a great asset to our clients in the region.”

In addition to his wealth management work, Ramos is a board member of the Cuban Artist Fund and a Young International Circle committee member of Museo del Barrio.
