Dynasty Financial Partners expands leadership team with new CFO hire

Dynasty Financial Partners has appointed industry veteran Jason Emerson as Chief Financial Officer. Emerson joins from Convergex Execution Solutions where he was Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to Convergex, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Gain Capital (GCAP: NYSE Listed) and has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry where he has held various management positions at firms including Knight Capital Group, Instinet and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
 
Dynasty Chairman Todd Thomson, who has overseen the finance team at Dynasty, says: “We are pleased to have someone of Jason’s caliber join our firm as we continue to professionalize our functions. Jason brings extensive financial and operational experience to this position as Dynasty’s growth continues to accelerate.”
 
Dynasty Financial Partners, the fast-growing turnkey wealth management platform for independent advisors, has added 12 new RIAs thus far in 2017.

Emerson will be based in the firm’s New York office and will be responsible for helping to set and deliver financial strategy for Dynasty and deliver Dynasty’s outsourced CFO services to its partner firms in its nationwide advisory network.
 
Amit Grover, who had been Dynasty’s CFO from launch, will now run the Dynasty Capital Strategies business. Dynasty Capital Strategies offers both debt solutions and equity solutions to Dynasty network firms seeking capital.
