Quilter Cheviot – part of Old Mutual Wealth – has added three dedicated investment managers to the team in its London office.
Mats Arthursson, Suneet Kumar and James Gatehouse have a combined 48 years’ experience in the industry, and are joining Quilter Cheviot to form a new investment management team, bringing the total number of London-based investment managers to 69.
Arthursson joins the firm in October. Reporting to Andrew McGlone, Managing Director, London Investment Management, he will head up the new team which will focus primarily on private clients. Mats has over 20 years of experience in investment management, and joins the firm from Arbuthnot Latham & Co, where he was most recently a director of investment management.
Arthursson says: “I am delighted to be joining Quilter Cheviot and look forward to working alongside both James and Suneet. I have significant experience in managing discretionary portfolios on behalf of high net worth clients, and am excited to utilise the firm’s renowned research expertise in developing investment solutions to meet the needs of our clients.”
Gatehouse joined the firm on 11 September, while Suneet also joins in October. Gatehouse comes to Quilter Cheviot from Fiske plc where he was most recently a senior investment manager, while Suneet joins from Seven Investment Management where he was an investment relationship manager for nearly four years.
McGlone says: “I’m delighted to welcome Mats, Suneet and James to our London team and the wider business. The appointment of this experienced trio demonstrates our ongoing commitment to bringing in the best investment management talent in the market and we hope to add to this new team in the months ahead.”
Quilter Cheviot’s Bristol office has also expanded its investment management team by recently hiring Nikolas Ramsey. Nikolas joins the firm after 13 years at Charles Stanley where he performed discretionary investment manager and chartered wealth manager roles.
