Charles Stanley Multi Asset Funds now available on Charles Stanley Direct

Charles Stanley Multi Asset Funds, a range of investments drawing on Charles Stanley’s research capability and designed to meet different, broad risk levels, are now available to self-directed or ‘DIY’ investors through the firm’s retail investment platform, Charles Stanley Direct.

The range of five funds are actively managed by Charles Stanley’s highly-regarded specialist asset management team and offer exposure to a variety of assets to provide simple, convenient ready-made portfolios for investors.
The specialist asset management team led by Chief Investment Officer Jon Cunliffe, handpicks a variety of investments for each fund, spanning differing asset classes, regions and markets, choosing from UK shares and bonds as well as carefully selected specialist funds.
The new range: MI Charles Stanley Multi Asset 1 Defensive; MI Charles Stanley Multi Asset 2 Cautious; MI Charles Stanley Multi Asset 3 Moderate; MI Charles Stanley Multi Asset 4 Growth; and MI Charles Stanley Multi Asset 5 Adventurous.
Adapting to market conditions, these Open-Ended Investment Companies (OEICs) represent the most up-to-date, live views of Charles Stanley’s experienced specialist asset management team. The fund’s portfolios are reviewed on an ongoing basis with changes made when necessary to react to new opportunities. This means the investor does not need to regularly monitor and change individual funds, shares or other assets in their portfolio.
Rob Morgan, Pension and Investment Analyst, Charles Stanley Direct, says: “DIY investor portfolios can be too concentrated in particular markets or asset classes, which, when there are dips, can mean that they experience greater losses than investors with more diversified portfolios.”
“This fund range is designed to help overcome that risk. Charles Stanley discretionary clients have long benefited from their access to our professional analysts’ and investment managers’ market views. These funds extend that expertise to self-directed investors using Charles Stanley Direct, each one offering a diverse portfolio in a single easy-to-buy investment.”
Christopher Aldous, Head of Asset Management, Charles Stanley, says: “We wanted Charles Stanley Asset Management’s best research and asset allocation ideas to be available to everyone, not just large investors.  The new multi-asset funds pack all this expertise into a straightforward range of risk-profiled funds for any Charles Stanley Direct client to access.”
