Davy completes acquisition of part of Danske Bank’s wealth management business

Davy Private Clients (Davy) UK’s acquisition of Danske Bank UK’s discretionary portfolio management wealth business has formally closed.

The deal involves the transfer of the management of over 1,100 Danske Bank customers’ investment portfolios to Davy, along with a team of 10 staff who will join Davy’s existing business in Belfast.
 
The agreement also sees Danske Bank make Davy its preferred referral partner for private banking customers seeking options to invest over GBP150,000.
 
Davy is Northern Ireland’s largest wealth manager, with overall assets under management across the United Kingdom and Ireland in excess of GBP12 billion. Davy has over 660 staff, including more than 70 in Northern Ireland. 
 
Commenting on the completion of the acquisition, Stephen Felle, Chief Executive – UK òf Davy, says: “We are delighted with the acquisition of the Danske Bank discretionary wealth business, and Davy’s appointment as a preferred referral partner for Private Banking customers of the bank.  I am confident that the combined resources of the Davy and Danske Bank teams will deliver an enhanced service to these valued clients in the years ahead.”
