Chevy Chase Trust Company deploys Charles River IMS for HNW and institutional businesses

Chevy Chase Trust Company (Chevy Chase Trust), an independently owned investment management firm based in the Washington DC area, has chosen the Charles River Investment Management Solution (Charles River IMS) as the enterprise investment management platform for its high net worth and institutional businesses.

The SaaS-based platform will support Chevy Chase Trust’s front and middle office in managing domestic fixed income and global equities.
Chevy Chase Trust will utilise Charles River IMS for portfolio management, trading, performance measurement and attribution, and post-trade processing. Charles River’s centralised portfolio management workspace provides portfolio construction, PMA and scenario analysis capabilities with integrated analytics. Its combined OMS and EMS functionality enables traders to work more productively from a single trading blotter. Charles River will supply fully managed reference data and benchmark data.
“Charles River stood out for its expertise in both the wealth management and institutional market segments, as well as for its strong support for both fixed income and equity portfolio management,” says Lynn Panagos, Chief Client Services and Operations Officer at Chevy Chase Trust. “Implementing an enterprise platform with this level of capability will help our portfolio managers enhance their use of analytics in the investment process, and gives our traders better decision support and execution capabilities.”
“Firms like Chevy Chase Trust can reduce costs by consolidating business lines on one platform and decommissioning a number of third-party systems,” says Tom Driscoll, Global Managing Director, Charles River. “However the big benefit of our software as a service is providing portfolio managers and traders with the decision support capabilities needed to make top notch investment decisions while controlling compliance and risk.”
