Lionshare Partners launches new wealth management firm

Lionshare Partners LLC, a new fee-only wealth management firm founded by Chris Jackson, has launched in the Los Angeles area.

The new firm was developed to provide a range of financial services through a new flexible fee model that is both capped and flat. Chris, a seasoned financial advisor, was frustrated with how wealth managements are too enchanted with expensive mergers and acquisitions that drive value, management stability and control away from clients. His mission is to use new technologies, cheaper investment vehicles and an inclusive service model to re-engineer how wealth management services are provided.

Lionshare Partners is a 100 per cent employee-owned firm, which allows them to focus only on being fiduciaries to their clients and not private equity-owned firms that are fiduciaries for their LP investors.

The firm also does not sell products, collect commission or have a sales team. This reduces the conflict of interest and overhead expenses, which are savings passed on to their clients. Advisors at Lionshare Partners use the power of local competition and network effect to improve access to managed-cost specialised solutions. Their fee schedule is significantly below industry averages and unique due to its innovative components such as capped-flat fees and not billing on market growth, which returns a large portion of traditional firm profits back to their clients.

“I knew there was a better way of doing business as a financial advisor and a more effective way to create returns for our clients, so I launched Lionshare Partners,” says Jackson. “We aim to be our clients’ chief financial officer and partner with the best institutional money managers, attorneys, tax professionals and insurance brokers. The firm offers a range of client services including financial, estate and tax planning, capital asset analysis, investment management and risk management.”

Jackson started in the financial industry in 2005 as a relationship manager for First Horizon Bank and has worked for top nationally ranked wealth management firms in Los Angeles and New York. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Enrolled Agent with academic studies at UCLA and Harvard University. In addition to founding Lionshare Partners, Chris is releasing his first book Mind Your Own Business: How Small Business Owners & Corporate Executives Can Take Charge of Their Money in early 2018. In addition, Jackson is the host of the Cooking Up Wealth podcast.

With his new wealth management firm, Jackson also aims to give back to his community. He is launching a Heroes and Zeros initiative, which provides pro bono financial planning to public safety workers, widows of our military members and single mothers. Through the initiative, Lionshare Partners is also boosting financial literacy with elected officials and start-ups. The Lionshare Partners also gives their time and financial support to local Southern California charities and causes.
