Charles Stanley launches upgraded app

Charles Stanley Direct has released an upgrade to its re-launched App and is planning to introduce full, whole of market Fund trading in March 2018.

The upgrade, which is free to download from both the Apple App Store for iOS users and The Google Play store for Android users, introduces full fund and stock search, plus indices and sectors provided by BATS whilst also introducing fingerprint authentication for Android, face-id recognition for iPhone X users and some neat user-experience upgrades that put the user in control of how they order accounts and interface with the App.

Magnus Wheatley (pictured), Managing Director of Charles Stanley Direct, says: “We simply could not have envisaged just how well our recent App launch would be received by clients. We have had over 10,000 downloads in the two months since launch and the fingerprint and face-id log-ins have been incredibly popular in putting clients closer to their investments than ever before.”

“Delivering simplicity in a beautiful user experience is certainly focusing our minds, but we have assembled a top-flight App Team to deliver the future and this upgrade lays the groundwork for our next two massive upgrades that will not only deliver trading in March but also in June we will have the ability to fully service new clients coming via the App with the introduction of a super-slick registration and account opening process.”

Charles Stanley Direct launched its new App in October 2017, focused on delivering functionality for Apple iPhone, Apple iPad and Android Smartphone users with dedicated UX for those devices in recognition of rapidly growing numbers of clients accessing their accounts via mobile devices.

Wheatley says: “The next stages of evolution for the App will further engage our clients and we believe that for many of our users, the App could become their primary interaction with our service. The goal here is to have the market-leading App in the direct to consumer space by the end of 2018, placing the power of Charles Stanley Direct into the palms of our clients with the best possible interface. These are exciting times for Charles Stanley Direct.”
