Charles Stanley adds to intermediary sales team

Wealth manager Charles Stanley has added two new recruits to its intermediary sales team in a move that further solidifies its commitment to its regional IFA network.

Sarita Kattoju assumes the role of Intermediary Sales Manager and will focus on growing Charles Stanley’s investment business in the Midlands, establishing new connections in the IFA community as well as supporting existing ones. Sarita has amassed almost 15 years’ experience working in financial services for firms including Alliance & Leicester and Santander. She was most recently at HSBC as a Premier Wealth Advisor, giving her valuable insight into the challenges around providing holistic financial advice and excellent customer care. Sarita is Level 4 Diploma-qualified and is working towards becoming Chartered.
 
In addition to Sarita, Steve Thompson joins the Charles Stanley team as Intermediary Sales Manager, tasked with growing the discretionary investment services business in Scotland & Northern Ireland. Steve has worked in the industry for over 26 years and possesses a wealth of expertise in sales, marketing and investments. During his career Steve has worked with some of the biggest names in the investment industry including Kames Capital, Hartford and MetLife and he also spent 5 years based in the Middle East with Assicurazioni Generali. Steve’s most recent role before joining Charles Stanley was with Morningstar Investment Management Europe. Steve is Level 4 Diploma-qualified and holds the Discretionary Investment Management Certificate. He is working towards becoming Chartered.
 
Thompson says: “Outsourcing a firms’ investment engine to an established DFM can enhance their overall proposition to their clients. It can also reduce the risk and costs associated with managing investment portfolios and ultimately allow them more time to focus on what really matters – looking after their clients. The trick is doing their homework properly, and carrying out the necessary due diligence research when selecting an appropriate DFM provider. I firmly believe that we tick all the right boxes for advisers to consider our proposition, and at sensible cost, to help meet all of these requirements. This is an exciting time to be working with Charles Stanley and it’s why I joined the business”
