Societe General announces Kleinwort Hambros appointments

Societe Generale has announced several appointments effective from 1 July 2018 within Kleinwort Hambros, the Group’s private banking business in the UK, Channel Islands and Gibraltar.

John Maitland, Commercial Director, will be appointed CEO of Kleinwort Hambros. This follows the decision by Eric Barnett to retire as CEO from 1st July 2018. Eric Barnett will remain Chairman of the Kleinwort Hambros entities in the Channel Islands and a member of the Kleinwort Hambros Board.
 
Gabrielle Branson and Mouhammed Choukeir, respectively Secretary General and Chief Investment Officer and co-Head of Wealth Management Solutions, will be appointed Deputy CEOs of Kleinwort Hambros.
 
Paul Kearney, Head of UK Private Banking, will be appointed Commercial Director, replacing John Maitland.
 
All appointments have been approved by the Board of Kleinwort Hambros and are subject to local regulatory approval.
