JP Morgan Asset Management adds three to ETF team

JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has made three new appointments to its fast-growing ETF business. The following individuals start with immediate effect:

Olivier Paquier has been appointed Head of Continental Europe ETF Distribution. He joins from State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) where he managed the ETF distribution team across Southern Europe and led SSGA’s French office. At JPMAM Paquier will be responsible for overseeing and driving the ETF distribution effort across Europe (ex UK). He will be based in London. Prior to SSGA, Paquier held senior distribution roles at Amundi and Euronext.
Ivan Durdevic has been appointed Head of ETF Distribution Switzerland. He joins from Amundi where he was Deputy Head of ETF & Indexing Sales in Switzerland. At JPMAM Durdevic will lead the ETF distribution effort in Switzerland, based in Zurich. Durdevic began his career in equity product sales at Nomura in Germany before transitioning to the ETF industry. He joined iShares in 2008 where he distributed ETFs to saving banks and cooperative banks. Durdevic first joined Amundi in October 2010, responsible for the ETF business in Germany and Austria.
John Harrington has been appointed Head of Beta and ETF Product. He joins from Deutsche Bank where he was responsible for both new product development and maintaining their existing range of ETFs. At JPMAM Harrington will be responsible for product, including ETFs, for JPMAM’s Beta Strategies business. He will be based in London.
Bryon Lake, Head of International ETFs at JPMAM, says: “We’re very excited to have Olivier, Ivan and John join our rapidly expanding ETF team. Each brings a significant amount of experience to their respective roles. As ETF specialists, their in-depth understanding of the nuances of the ETF market will help us continue to build a best in class business, as we take additional steps towards building our ETF capabilities internationally to serve our clients.”
In September 2017, JPMAM appointed John Adu as UK Head of ETF Distribution and Tom Stephens as Head of JP Morgan ETF International Capital Markets. Bryon Lake was appointed Head of International ETFs in March 2017. Lake, Adu and Stephens are based in London.
