Magenta Financial Planning MD appointed chair of CISI Wales branch

Gretchen Betts, CFPTM Chartered MCSI, has been appointed President of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Wales branch.

Betts is a Certified Financial Planner CFPTM, Chartered Wealth Manager and Managing Director at Magenta Financial Planning – a specialist Financial Planning company that helps its clients build plans for future security and happiness.
Having started her career working for an accountancy practice in South Wales, she then studied for examinations to become firstly a Paraplanner and then Financial Planner. After gaining her Diploma in Financial Planning in 2009, Betts went on to become a Certified Financial Planner in 2014 and a Chartered Wealth Manager in 2015.
Betts is passionate about working closely with clients to understand what they really want from life and to create and implement a Lifetime Financial Plan to help them achieve their dreams.
“I am very proud to have been appointed President of the CISI Wales branch,” says Betts. “I would like to thank outgoing President Meirion Davies, Chartered FCSI for the commitment and enthusiasm he has given to ensuring the smooth running of the branch over the past two years.
“I am looking forward to building on Meiron’s great work and helping to grow the CISI membership in our region. We have a good line up for 2018 CPD events already and the committee is keen to try to establish a programme that suits all our members, financial planners, investment and portfolio managers and students. Our topics will focus on soft skills, client engagement, people and business management, ethics and much more. I hope that through more regular communication on social media and relevant content we can attract more people to join the CISI and more members to come along to our events.”
