State St launches bond index ETF with three currency hedges

State St Global Advisors has issued a bond index ETF in the three currency-hedged unit classes, USD, EUR and GBP, on the reference index Bloomberg Barclays Global Aggregate Bond Index.

The new ETF, the SPDR Bloomberg Barclays Global Aggregate Bond UCITS ETF, is tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt and is designed to allow investors to participate in the performance of the global bond market.

The reference index comprises more than 21,000 securities from more than 2,400 issuers in 24 currencies from more than 60 countries. All bonds have an investment grade rating.

The Bloomberg Barclays Global Aggregate Bond Index includes both government and corporate bonds from industrialised nations as well as emerging markets. The corporate bonds are predominantly from industrial and financial sectors.
