Citi Private Bank has appointed Kristen Bitterly Michell as Capital Markets Head for the Americas. Bitterly Michell will be based in New York and report to Iain Armitage, Global Head of Capital Markets, Citi Private Bank.
She will be responsible for asset allocation, product advice, and execution across capital markets for the Americas region.
“Under Kristen’s experienced leadership, we will bring together the best execution capabilities and investment opportunities for our clients. This is an exciting time for the Investments team in the Private Bank as we continue to grow assets under management and ever improve our client service,” says Armitage.
Most recently, Bitterly Michell served as Investment Counsellor Head for the Eastern Region for the Private Bank. Prior to that, she served as Capital Markets Head of Structured Solutions. She led a team of experienced product specialists that provided ultra-high-net-worth investors with cross asset derivative strategies, bespoke structured products and hedging and liquidity strategies. Before joining Citi, Bitterly Michell led structured product sales to Latin American investors at Credit Suisse and previously provided structured derivative solutions to private investor clients at JP Morgan. Bitterly Michell holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
