Ocorian appoints MD of UK operation

Ocorian, an independent provider of corporate and fiduciary services, has appointed Alan Booth as Managing Director of its UK business.

Booth (pictured), was previously Global Head of Product Management within Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Services Division, and will play a key role in driving Ocorian’s enhanced corporate services offering.

Booth’s in-depth knowledge of the global regulatory and legal environment – gained through 12 years’ experience in structured finance, private equity and real estate structuring – will prove central to the shaping and management of Ocorian’s growing corporate services business.

Ocorian has grown considerably over the last two years, with strategic acquisitions increasing its multi-jurisdictional footprint across Europe, as well as Africa and the Middle-East, including, most recently, the purchase of Mauritius-based corporate services provider ABAX in February.

Booth says: “This is an exciting time to join Ocorian. Our corporate offering continues to grow and expand, both in range and international coverage. I’m delighted to be part of the team.”

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for strategy, product development and regulatory processes across ten jurisdictions, Booth practised as a commercial and corporate lawyer, having completed his Law education at the National University of Ireland and University College London.
