Lipper stats show European ETF inflows up again in February


The latest European ETF Market Review from Thomson Reuters Lipper for February 2018 reveals that ETF promoters in Europe saw net inflows of EUR10.5 billion over the month.

Detlef Glow, Head of EMEA research, writes that the assets under management in the European ETF industry (EUR648.3 billion) increased for February, up from EUR647.2 billion at the end of January 2018.

Equity ETFs (+EUR8.1 billion) posted for February, the highest net inflows of the European ETF industry. The best-selling Lipper global classification for February was Equity Eurozone (+EUR2.5 billion), followed by Equity US (+EUR2.1 billion) and Equity Japan (+EUR1.3 billion).

iShares was the best-selling ETF promoter in Europe for February (+EUR3.7 billion), ahead of Amundi ETF (+EUR3.5 billion) and Vanguard (+EUR1.3 billion).

The 10 best-selling funds gathered total net inflows of EUR5.4 billion for February. The best-selling ETF for February, Amundi Index MSCI EMU – UCITS ETF DR (C), accounted for net inflows of EUR1.4 billion or 12.88 per cent of the overall net inflows.
