Fiduciary Trust Company, an advisor and investment management firm for high-net-worth individuals and non-profits, has expanded its estate planning team with the addition of attorney Patricia Schatzlein Smock as Vice President and Trust Counsel.
Smock joins Fiduciary Trust from Cambridge Associates where she advised investment teams on tax matters including gift, estate, partnership, and income tax. Prior to Cambridge Associates, Tricia operated her own estate planning practice. She began her career as an associate attorney with Ropes & Gray’s Private Client Group. At Fiduciary Trust, Smock will counsel clients in the areas of tax, trust, and estate planning.
“We are delighted to have Tricia join Fiduciary Trust. Her experience and insight across a range of tax-related matters, including gift, estate, limited partnership and income tax, will complement and expand our legal group,” says Stacy K Mullaney, Chief Fiduciary Officer of Fiduciary Trust. “She will be an important member of our professional team, which provides personal service and holistic advice to our clients.”
Smock earned a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Northwestern University and graduated magna cum laude with a JD degree from the Duke University School of Law.
