Guernsey Finance appoints new London Representative

Guernsey Finance has appointed Adrian Norman as its new London Representative.

Permanently based in London, Norman’s remit is to further promote awareness of the island’s finance offering, to educate about Guernsey’s financial services, and to connect London professionals with Guernsey practitioners.

Norman (pictured) is Guernsey-born and has 25 years of finance experience, more than 20 of those on the island, where he has worked across funds, private wealth and banking at firms such as Credit Suisse, Northern Trust, Carey Group, Ogier and Odey Wealth. His role at Odey took him to London in 2014, where he was Head of Operations with Odey Asset Management. He has experience of working with funds domiciled in multiple jurisdictions.

“Having built up many years’ experience working across various sectors in both Guernsey and London, I feel I have a good grasp on the needs of both jurisdictions and the areas where they could work together for mutual benefit,” says Norman. “I am looking forward to help grow Guernsey’s connections with the capital.”

Guernsey Finance Chief Executive Dominic Wheatley says he is excited by what Mr Norman could offer the island’s promotional agency.

“Adrian’s roots are in Guernsey’s finance industry and his passion for his home island will make him a great addition to our team,” he says. “His broad experience means he will be an important link for us across several sectors, and his role will complement the good work already done by GF staff in our most important market.

“Our longer-term future is founded upon our uniquely symbiotic relationship with the City as a major capital provider and a conduit to other economies.”
