Carey Olsen Bermuda’s Keith Robinson speaking at London and Geneva private wealth events

Carey Olsen Bermuda partner Keith Robinson will be speaking on Bermuda’s attractiveness as a centre for private wealth management at events in London and Geneva over the next two days.

Robinson, who has particular expertise in high-value trust matters and court approved trust restructurings, was a panellist at a Spear’s and Bermuda Business Development Agency breakfast seminar at the Ritz London earlier today and is scheduled to speak at Transcontinental Trusts 2018 in Geneva.
Today’s event, entitled ‘The Bermuda benefit: an introduction to going offshore for HNWs’, saw Robinson speak as part of a panel of industry experts on the current offshore environment, the service mentality and administrative competence of different offshore centres and the merits of Bermuda itself as an offshore location.
Robinson says: “Bermuda offers high net worth families a stable and effective jurisdiction in which to manage their wealth with a first class trust industry, modern legislation and strong judiciary. It is an honour to showcase Bermuda’s strengths in this field in association with Spear’s and the Bermuda Business Development Agency.”
At Transcontinental Trusts 2018, Mr Robinson will appear as part of a panel session entitled ‘Flexible friend or Frankenstein’s Monster? Whither Trusts?’ and present specifically on S.47 applications in Bermuda – a unique feature of Bermuda’s trusts law not offered in other domiciles and which provides the Bermuda Court with a flexible restructuring jurisdiction.
