Investec Asset Management adds to Multi-Asset Team with portfolio manager hire

Investec Asset Management has added to its Multi-Asset Investment Team with the appointment of Imran Ahmad, who joins as a portfolio manager within the team.

Investec Asset Management’s Multi-Asset Team has established a three-decade track record of managing multi-asset growth and income strategies. The range of solutions managed by the 32-strong team is designed to address the investment outcomes required by institutional and advisor clients globally.
Bringing with him a wealth of cross-asset class expertise, Ahmad joins from Standard Life Investments where he was portfolio manager of the EMD Unconstrained Fund. Prior to this, he held portfolio management responsibilities at JP Morgan Asset Management. He is an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a research assistant, and holds an MPhil in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge.
Russell Silberston, Head of Multi-Asset Absolute Return, says: “I am delighted to welcome Imran to Investec Asset Management. He brings with him an excellent track record and a wide breadth of experience. In addition to helping build our Absolute Return strategy, Imran will be an active participant in our Rates & FX and Macro Research Groups, two crucial building blocks in our wider multi-asset strategies. We are always seeking to add depth of experience into our team in order to better meet the requirements of our institutional and advisor clients around the world.”
