London & Capital (L&C), an independently-owned wealth and asset manager, has appointed Jonathan Gold as an Executive Director. He will be based in London, reporting to Daniel Freedman, Managing Director.

Gold’s role will see him deal directly with clients, including focusing on the sports and entertainment sector as well as US clients. Sports and entertainment clients currently makes up approximately 10 per cent of L&C’s US client base with the objective of increasing this significantly. L&C is one of the very few firms who continue to provide wealth management services to American citizens living outside the US.

Gold joins L&C having most recently been a Director at RBC Wealth Management. During his eight years with RBC Wealth Management, Jonathan provided clients with a holistic wealth service, including discretionary and advisory investment management, cash management, banking, property and asset-backed credit solutions and wealth structuring.

Prior to RBC Wealth Management, Gold was Vice President with AllianceBernstein Global Wealth Management working in the London Private Client office.

Freedman says: “Jonathan’s background, entrepreneurialism and keen understanding of our core client base is a perfect fit. There are very few wealth managers capable of servicing US expat clients and still fewer with Jonathan’s experience in growing and developing business. I am delighted that Jonathan will be bringing his expertise and abilities to our team.’’

Gold, Executive Director, says: “I am proud to join L&C and excited to be working for one of the only providers of wealth management services to US clients in the UK. I look forward to enhancing our existing client relationships as well as building out the sports and entertainment practice. L&C has a fantastic reputation for combining excellent client service with an investment offering designed to preserve and protect wealth across the generations which meets the needs of where clients live and where they are from.”
