Carla Jane Findlay-Dons has joined Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) as Chief Global Regulatory and Market Strategist, resident in London.
In this role, Findlay-Dons will lead the Global Regulatory and Market Strategy Group, charged with developing BBH’s point of view on market and regulatory events. Under her leadership, the group will partner with subject matter experts across BBH to ensure a global voice on regulation, and to develop solutions that help clients respond to a quickly changing regulatory landscape.
Findlay-Dons joins BBH from Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) where she was an Executive Director for Regulatory Management with a particular focus on EMEA regulation. Prior to that, Carla Jane led GSAM’s Strategic Client Services Fixed Income team for the Americas.
Findlay-Dons brings a wealth of experience and insight to the BBH team from her diverse background in asset management, law and the arts. She has long been a champion of diversity in financial services and London. Findlay-Dons serves as a member of BBH’s European Diversity and Inclusion Council. She has previously served on women’s networking committees at Goldman Sachs and provided pro-bono mentorship to women through Allen and Overy’s SmartStart programme and The Cherie Blair Foundation. Findlay-Dons is an accomplished public speaker and passionate commentator on the importance of creating a diverse workforce and the benefits that diversity of thought can bring to business.
Findlay-Dons holds a BA from the University of Edinburgh, and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Law in London. She was called to the Bar in 2007 and qualified as a solicitor in 2011. She has been an active member of the IMA, ISDA and other industry groups.
