Crypto Facilities, a cryptocurrency trading platform and index provider, has appointed Sui Chung (pictured), to lead its index and pricing products business.

Crypto Facilities offers individuals and institutions regulated, transparent and secure trading. The firm is also the provider of cryptocurrency indices, calculating the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate and Real Time Index that power the CME Group’s Bitcoin Futures, and the CME CF Ether-Dollar Reference Rate and Ether-Dollar Real Time Index. Financial institutions, trading firms and data providers globally use Crypto Facilities’ indices and underlying data to optimise their cryptocurrency trading activity.

Chung joins the firm from Euromoney Institutional Investor where he latterly led Euromoney Indices, the firm’s financial benchmarks business. Previously, he held a number of roles during his fifteen years at the firm, including creating benchmark datasets for investment banks through market surveys, and building out Euromoneycountryrisk.com, a platform offering consensus country risk metrics.

Timo Schlaefer, CEO of Crypto Facilities, says: “We are delighted to welcome Sui to the team. His wealth of experience in the data and index space will spur the development of our cryptocurrency index and pricing business, and increase the adoption of our products and services by financial institutions and professional investors.”

Chung says: “I am excited to join Crypto Facilities to lead the firm’s index and pricing products business. Crypto Facilities has created a world-class cryptocurrency trading, data and index platform, and I look forward to building on this initial success.”
