Wealth Manager Charles Stanley has added two new investment managers to its regional network; Geoffrey Cooban, who will be joining the Birmingham private client investment team and Kate Nathoo, who will be joining the Guildford team.
Cooban, who has a BSocSc (Hons) degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham, has twenty-five years’ experience in the investment management industry. He specialises in bespoke management of equity portfolios, self-invested personal pensions, offshore bonds and charity accounts. Prior to joining Charles Stanley, Geoffrey spent 16 years working at Quilters. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a Fellow of the Chartered Securities Institute.
Nathoo joins the Charles Stanley team from Thesis Asset Management where she spent 16 years, reaching the level of Client Director. Prior to this, Nathoo worked for Daniels Holt as a founding partner in the business which pioneered fee-only discretionary management services for private clients. Kate’s career spans 28 years in total, allowing her to manage and advise private client accounts, and work with charities, trusts and professional intermediaries. Kate served as President of the CISI southern branch from 2016 to June 2018.
Head of Investment Management, Gary Teper, says: “In an increasingly competitive market place, it is crucial that we invest in skilled staff who can translate our clients’ complex financial needs and goals into positive results. Both Kate and Geoffrey clearly understood the way Charles Stanley combines traditional values with a modern approach to investment management and I am excited to have them add their considerable expertise to our growing regional network.”
