He has particular expertise in multi-jurisdictional disputes arising in financial services and international trade. Lucas’ client base consists of high-net-worth individuals, funds, banks and corporates across a number of jurisdictions from the Cayman Islands to Mauritius and Guernsey.
The Legal 500 – one of the chief legal directories – has described Lucas as being “calm and collected, and commands the confidence of clients and the respect of opponents” (2017), in addition to, “having the ability to explain technical and legal complexities in a practical and understandable way” (2017). Lucas’ expertise will complement Payne Hicks Beach’s leading Dispute Resolution Department which provides a broad range of services including privacy and media disputes, contentious trusts, financial services disputes and commercial and property litigation.
