Landsberg Bennett Private Wealth Management has launched as an independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) headquartered in Punta Gorda, Florida.

The team offers customised investment and wealth management services, including comprehensive financial planning and retirement income planning solutions helping individuals, families and businesses reach their financial goals.

The team is led by Michael W Landsberg CIMA, CFP, Partner and Chief Investment Officer; Lew Bennett, CFP, Partner; and Anthony C Dubbaneh, JD, CFP and Partner. Michael W Landsberg was named to seven of the last nine Barron’s Top 1000 Advisors lists, including in 2018.

Joining Landsberg, Bennett and Dubbaneh are Faiza Kedir, Director of Business Development; Debra Cooper, Chief Compliance Officer; Flor E Mendoza, CFP, Financial Advisor; Adrienne E Moore, CFP, Planning Associate; Lindsay Decker, Administrative Assistant; and Tommy Williamson, CFA, Portfolio Analyst.

“We have always considered ourselves independent, but after exploring our options we decided that launching our own firm was the right solution for our clients,” says Landsberg.

“The robust array of technology and service tools available in the independent RIA space are only equaled by our passion for delivering world-class service to our clients,” said Bennett. “This move empowers us to truly tailor the service model offerings to fit the evolving needs of our clients.”

Landsberg Bennett PWM leveraged the comprehensive consulting services of Fusion Financial Partners for its RIA launch, due diligence project management and capital financing solutions.

“The marketplace supporting independent RIAs offers wealth management teams greater freedom, control, and service options than operating in closed-circuit environments,” says Mike Papedis, CEO & Founder of Fusion Financial Partners. “Landsberg Bennett is a prime example of what is fuelling the rapid growth of the RIA channel. They are not just changing firms. They are elevating the firm-to-client relationship by choosing to operate as an independent, fee-only, fiduciary advisory firm.”

Landsberg Bennett PWM formed strategic relationships with leading providers in the industry, including Fidelity Clearing & Custody Solutions who will act as primary custodian for client investment assets.

“The team at Landsberg Bennett PWM has decades of experience in the industry and profession and are clearly committed to building and maintaining long lasting relationships with their clients,” says David Canter, head of the RIA segment for Fidelity Clearing & Custody Solutions. “We are excited to work with them as they continue to grow their firm and explore new ways to better serve their clients.”

Prior to launching as an independent RIA, the team operated through Wells Fargo FiNet, the independent contractor division of Wells Fargo. Prior to Wells Fargo, the team met while employed as advisors at Merrill Lynch.
