Rockefeller Capital Management adds MD to wealth management team

Rockefeller Capital Management has made another addition to its senior management team as the firm continues to develop a full-scale, premier wealth management business to complement its leading family office and trust services.  

Michael Outlaw is joining the Firm as a Managing Director with responsibility for recruiting and managing wealth advisors in the eastern United States. He joins from Morgan Stanley, where he was the Complex Manager for Atlanta Buckhead and led Private Wealth Management for the Southeast region.

He has extensive management and operational experience as a leader of financial advisors and teams that provide best-in-class service to ultra- and high-net-worth clients,” says Gregory J Fleming, President & CEO of Rockefeller Capital Management. “Michael will focus on putting in place all the building blocks to enable us to expand our presence in the region.”

He will work with advisors to bring exceptional service and advice to clients, ensuring the same standard of excellence and expertise that has long served the Rockefeller family is delivered to new clients on the Rockefeller Wealth Management platform. The Firm will invest in continuously enhancing the platform to provide ultra- and high-net-worth individuals and families a world-class client experience.”
 
Outlaw joined Morgan Stanley in 1996 as a financial advisor. During his 22-year tenure, he rose to a number of management roles, including Branch Manager; Area Manager; Southeast District Manager; and Washington DC Complex Manager before becoming the Complex Manager for Atlanta Buckhead in 2010 as well as leading Private Wealth Management for the Southeast region since 2017. Outlaw received his undergraduate degree from Queens College and his MBA from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business.
