BNP Paribas AM expands German ETF team

BNP Paribas Asset Management has expanded its ETF and Index Solutions team in Germany with the appointment of Florian Schoeps as ETF and Index Solutions Sales Trader.

Based in Munich, Schoeps reports to Claus Hecher, Head of Business Development for Germany, Austria and the German-speaking areas of Switzerland.
He joins from MAEG Munich ERGO Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH, where he was a Senior Relationship Manager.  Prior to this he worked at Pioneer Investments, also in Munich, initially as Head of Internal Communication and then as a Sales Consultant.
Isabelle Bourcier, Head of Quantitative and Index Management within BNPP AM’s Multi-Asset, Quantitative & Solutions investment group, says:
“Germany is one of our main markets in Europe, along with France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland.  We have considerably strengthened our sales presence and visibility in these markets over the past two years, regularly recruiting new staff members to underpin the sales momentum that we are enjoying with investors in these countries.”
Claus Hecher, Head of ETF and Index Solutions Business Development for Germany, Austria and the German-speaking areas of Switzerland, adds:
“Florian has almost 15 years’ experience in the asset management industry and a solid knowledge of ETFs, which will benefit clients wishing to improve their understanding and expertise in selecting and using index investment solutions.”
