LBO France launches private equity fund for individual investors

LBO France has widened its fund range, usually reserved for institutional investors, with the launch of the FCPR White Caps Sélection, a private equity fund for high net worth clients with a minimum investment amount of EUR25,000.

The FCPR White Caps Sélection fund will invest directly or via funds managed by LBO France in profitable and growing unlisted French or European small or midcap companies within the framework of expansion capital or buyout capital transactions. To ensure additional diversification, the fund will also be able to invest in real estate.
Investors in the FCPR White Caps Sélection fund will benefit from LBO France’s longstanding expertise in unlisted investments. LBO France has been a pioneer and leading name in the French private equity field for over 30 years and works with profitable French and European small and midcap companies with a proven business model and presenting strong potential for international expansion. In addition to its team of 15 investment professionals dedicated to private equity, LBO France makes its operating team of 6 people available to portfolio company managers to help them with their value-creation strategies such as digital transformation, international activities or external growth management. LBO France has also adopted a systematic ESG approach with regard to its portfolio companies.
For the launch, LBO France is relying on wealth management professionals who have been selected at an early stage of the process based on their in-depth knowledge of private equity. A number of these partners have been involved in all stages of the creation process of the FCPR White Caps Sélection fund in order to best meet the current expectations of high net worth clients who want to diversify their portfolio with unlisted assets in a favourable climate for private equity.
Robert Daussun (pictured), Chairman of LBO France, says: “The launch of the FCPR White Caps Sélection responds to a need. High net worth clients are currently looking for diversified investments directly connected to the real economy and protected from the often erratic fluctuations of stock markets. This new fund will give high net worth clients access to private equity investment strategies usually reserved for professional clients. Thanks to its multi-strategy approach, this vehicle will also offer risk pooling. Finally, it will allow this new client base to benefit from LBO France’s longstanding expertise in the unlisted investment segment.”
This fund is a tax fund under French law allowing exemption from income tax on capital gains subject to a minimum holding period of five years (excluding social security contributions).
