AlphaPoint, a blockchain technology company, has appointed Dan Draper, a managing director at Invesco and Global Head of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), to its Board of Directors.

Draper is the Global Head of Invesco’s ETF business as well as the President of Invesco Capital Management LLC. Previously, Draper spent nearly two decades in Europe and Asia with leading asset management, investment banking, and wealth management firms including Credit Suisse, Barclays, UBS, Goldman Sachs, and Salomon Brothers. He is a Finance Leaders Fellow at the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leaders Network.

Draper says: “The development of financial products tied to digital assets and cryptocurrencies is already underway. AlphaPoint is a technology and data leader that can power the next generation of financial products for institutional and retail investors. I look forward to joining AlphaPoint’s board and bringing my decades of experience in ETFs, financial products, and global business development to help expand its business.”

“Dan has been behind the growth and success of many well-known financial products, including Invesco QQQ, which tracks the Nasdaq 100 Index. AlphaPoint is uniquely positioned to leverage both our data and technology to offer firms the ability to create new investment products, and we are excited for Dan to join our board and help guide our rapid growth,” says Salil Donde, AlphaPoint CEO.

AlphaPoint recently announced its plans to launch AlphaPoint Indexes and AlphaPoint Smart Baskets, which will enable exchange operators to create additional investment products backed by groups of digital assets.
