As part of its strategy to grow its offering in the Channel Islands, wealth manager Kleinwort Hambros has appointed Matt Falla as Head of Private Banking, Guernsey and Deputy Head of Private Banking, Channel Islands.

Based at Kleinwort Hambros’ office in Guernsey, Falla will be instrumental in building the business strategy to provide banking and investment solutions to domestic, international clients and financial intermediaries. Matt began his new role in March of this year and reports into Clive Wright, Head of Private Banking Channel Islands, Kleinwort Hambros
Falla has a strong history within the wealth management industry that saw him join SGPB Hambros in December 2005 as a Senior Private Banker, from HSBC International Fund Distribution, where he was Regional Manager for its Middle East & African Intermediary based clients. In 2011, Falla was appointed Head of the Financial Intermediaries team in Jersey, progressing over the next few years to be promoted to Group Head in 2015.
Clive Wright, Head of Private Banking Channel Islands, Kleinwort Hambros, says: “We are delighted that Matt has taken up the role of Head of Private Banking in Guernsey and Deputy Head or Private Banking, Channel Islands, as we look to further strengthen and expand this part of the business. Kleinwort Hambros’ work across the Channel Islands is designed to help support the local growth ambition and position us as the trusted partner of choice for local residents and family offices. Matt’s wealth of industry experience makes him the perfect fit for the role and I am confident he will further develop and add fresh insight to the team.”
Falla says: “I am thrilled to be given this opportunity to further drive the business forward. The success of our presence in the Channel Islands has always been our staff and their expertise and ability to go the extra mile to service our clients. Each member of the team is focused on delivering excellent service in order to maintain long-term relationships with clients. Kleinwort Hambros is an important employer within the region and we look forward to continuing this role going forward.”
