Sycomore Asset Management has appointed Damien Mariette as senior portfolio manager – European Equities.
A committed conviction-driven fund manager, Mariette (pictured), has developed his skills in equities over the last 10 years. ‘We are delighted to welcome Damien to the team. His strong knowledge of listed European stocks, resulting from frequent meetings with the various management teams, combined with a proven methodical approach, will enable us to challenge our ideas and to widen our scope of investment,’ says Cyril Charlot, a founding partner of Sycomore AM.
Before joining Sycomore AM, Mariette held the position of equities portfolio manager, firstly at Banque Populaire Val de France (2008-2009), then at Fonds de Garantie Automobile (2009-2012). In 2012, he joined La Financière de l’Echiquier to manage the Echiquier Value fund (more than EUR1 billion of assets under management). In addition, he worked as an operational risk analyst with BNPP Securities Services.
Mariette has a Master’s in Economics and Management from Artois University.
