Raymond James launches new branch in the Lake District

RELATED TOPICS

A new Raymond James branch, led by wealth manager James Lindsley, is opening in the Lake District.

The new branch will offer Discretionary Investment Management through bespoke portfolios tailored to client needs. The branch will offer its services throughout the UK.

James Lindsley joins Raymond James from Rathbones, where he had been an Investment Director since 2011. Lindsley started his career in 1994 as a trainee Investment Manager at Greig Middleton, before moving to IM Asset Management in 2001. In 2006 Lindsley took on a head of office position for James Brearley, before joining Rathbones.

The new branch will provide tailored investment advice, drawing on external financial planning expertise when required and working together with clients to create strategic long-term plans. The branch aims to grow organically through clients who require long term investment discipline.

Lindsley says: “The structure and support of Raymond James really gave me the confidence to set up on my own. The resources provided will enable me to concentrate on providing the highest level of investment management and avoid administrative burdens.

“It feels liberating to be running my own boutique business. Over the last 24 years I have seen much change in how our industry operates and I expect that pace of change to be even faster in the years ahead, resulting in a continued re-shaping of how we operate. Having the freedom to run a nimble operation, while having the support of a large organisation such as Raymond James, means I have the flexibility to keep pace with that continued evolution.”

Anthony Scott, Head of Business Development at Raymond James, says: “James has a wealth of experience managing portfolios, so we are really excited to have him on board. James shares our long-term approach to wealth management, and we look forward to supporting the growth of the new branch through Raymond James’ technology and tools.”
