Horizons ETFs to close two ETFs

Horizons ETFs Management is to terminate the Horizons Global Currency Opportunities ETF and the Horizons Active Intl Developed Markets Equity ETF, effective at the close of business on Thursday 14 February 2019.

The funds are: the Horizons Global Currency Opportunities ETF (HGC); and the Horizons Active Intl Developed Markets Equity ETF (HADM).
 
Effective immediately, no further direct subscriptions for units of the respective ETFs will be accepted. Friday 8 February 2019, is expected to be the last date on which a redemption request may be placed with the Manager, and the ETFs are expected to be de-listed from the Toronto Stock Exchange, at the request of the Manager, at the close of business on or about Monday 11 February, 2019 (the Delisting Date), with all units still held by investors being subject to a mandatory redemption as of the Termination Date.
 
Unitholders of the respective ETFs will be able sell their units in the normal course through the facilities of the stock exchange, up until the Delisting Date. Any remaining unitholders of the respective ETFs as at the Termination Date will receive the net proceeds from the liquidation of the assets, less all liabilities and all expenses incurred in connection with the dissolution of the ETF, on a pro-rata basis.
