Kuber Ventures hires former Fidelity International client services specialist

Kuber Ventures, an alternative investment platform specialising in EIS and SEIS, has appointed a new Head of Client Services to continue to drive the platform’s expansion.

Anne Butler, a former Associate Director of Fidelity International has joined the senior management team to lead on all elements of client services as the company adapts to an increasing demand for tax efficient investment products.

Kuber was the first platform of its kind to be established in 2012 and has since raised a total of GBP50 million of new assets from over 570 investors, spread across more than 60 investment funds.

Kuber was developed at a time when the tax efficient investment market itself was administratively burdensome. It has since led a trend towards digitalisation of the investment process. The market has grown considerably in recent years as the investment landscape has changed amid constraints to pensions and falling real estate values. Demand for alternative investments including EIS, SEIS and VCTs has risen due to evidenced success rates. On Kuber’s platform there has been over 25 exits since launch including exits from Boundary Capital & Deepbridge, which in total translate to an average return of 138 per cent in under five years.

Kuber has already worked through the full investment, divestment and reinvestment cycle and thus has the trading experience that recent market entrants lack. Alongside the new addition to the team, Kuber has also updated its portal and is consistently adding new funds to its platform including the soon to be unveiled British Design Fund 3 EIS.

Dermot Campbell, CEO of Kuber Ventures, says: “We are delighted to welcome Anne, as we embark on further expansion. We have invested heavily in research and platform development to adapt alongside changing EIS rules and to regulation such as MIFID II.

“Anne has a strong background in client services and brings crucial skills to our business to ensure that advisers and private investors can easily invest in UK Government-sponsored tax efficient products, whilst we continue to diversify our offering.”

Anne Butler, Kuber Ventures Head of Client Services, says: “I look forward to putting my experience to work, as the team and I continue to provide guidance to Kuber’s growing number of adviser and investor clients to support them in investing in the best possible opportunities.

“Kuber’s’ investors can access many leading fund managers including Guinness Asset Management, Deepbridge and Blackfinch through the platform to invest in growth orientated, knowledge intensive companies over a range of sectors such as technology, film, television and consumer innovations.”
