London & Capital appoints Sales Director

Wealth and asset manager London & Capital has appointed Ian Hunter to the newly created role of Sales Director.

The appointment adds to the Executive Team and forms part of the wider recruitment drive at the firm. Hunter will be crucial in shaping the business’ more focussed approach to recruitment and development of specialist wealth managers.
Hunter’s appointment precedes London & Capital’s growth plans to expand the business from GBP3 billion AUM to GBP5 billion AUM over the next four years. This ambitious strategy will require the expansion of existing teams as well as developing new teams focussed on specialist HNW and UHNW advice areas.
Hunter has over 25 years’ experience in the Banking and Wealth Management sectors and has joined from Sanlam UK where he was responsible for growing the Wealth Planner team and improving its productivity. As Sales Director at London & Capital he will be focussed on developing wider business opportunities across the firm as well as building new teams of advisers.
Daniel Freedman, Partner and Managing Director, says: “Ian brings a wealth of experience to London & Capital and will be instrumental in our plans to grow the business. Against the volatile market backdrop we are seeing rising numbers of clients seeking our advice and support across a range of specific areas. Ian will be focussed on growing and developing new advisers and teams to provide this specialist advice to the HNW market and we are delighted to welcome him to the team.”
Hunter adds: “I have long been impressed with London & Capital’s proposition and am thrilled to be joining the team to drive their growth aspirations. I am particularly excited to work with entrepreneurial advisers seeking support with their business plans in addition to strengthening London & Capital’s existing and established teams.”
