Citi Private Bank adds three to investments teams

Citi Private Bank has announced three new appointments to its Europe, Middle East and Africa investments teams.

Mickael Defarge joins as a Senior Investment Counsellor focusing on the Northern European market. Prior to joining Citi, Defarge spent 11 years at UBS Wealth Management where he was in charge of structured products origination and distribution for the French market and previously Investment Advisor in Switzerland. He started his career at Société Générale Private Banking in Luxembourg. Based in London, Defarge will report to Jacopo Eydallin, Investment Counselling Team Head for Northern Europe.
 
Sandrine Chaker joins the Middle East Northern Africa (MENA) investment team as a Senior Investment Counsellor covering the UAE market, based in Dubai. Prior to joining Citi, Chaker was a Senior Investment Advisor at Barclays Wealth Management in Geneva, primarily focused on advising clients in the Middle East. Prior to this, Sandrine spent a decade at HSBC Private Bank in Geneva, London and Dubai, most of this in Investment Advisory roles focussed on the MENA region. Sandrine will report to Alex Johnstone, Investment Counselling Team Head for Saudi and UAE.
 
Maria Olmos joins the Emerging Market Investment Counselling team as a team investment counsellor. Maria started her career at Citi with the LATAM Rotational Program in Miami, and later joined the Corporate and Investment Bank as a Business Strategy Analyst in London. Based in London, Olmos will report into Richard Saunders, Investment Counselling Team Head for Emerging Markets.

We have a clear focus on continued growth across the region, and the combined experience that all three bring to the teams will be instrumental in achieving this growth throughout 2019.”
