UK private investment management group Tilney has appointed Chris Moore as an associate investment director. He will join the team in the company’s Birmingham office, which has seen significant expansion in recent years through both recruitment and acquisitions.

Moore joins from Smith & Williamson where he has worked as an investment manager since 2010. Prior to this, he has held roles at Personal Touch Financial Services and Andersen Charnley (now part of Cannacord Genuity Wealth Management).

As well as working with external firms of financial advisers and other professional services firms in the Midlands to manage their clients’ portfolios, Moore will also work alongside Tilney’s own financial planners in the region to provide a high quality integrated wealth management service to clients.

Alan Edwards, Head of Investment Management at Tilney, says: “Last year we put a great deal of focus on adding to our investment management team across the country, and I am delighted that we are continuing to expand the team in Birmingham with this latest hire.”

“We have a top class team in Birmingham and have been growing our presence significantly in the Midlands in recent years, including the recently announced acquisition of Index Wealth Management. Tilney is now firmly established as a leading wealth manager in the Midlands and we are excited about the prospects for future growth and expansion.”
