BlackRock has launched two new iShares ETFs on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt, focusing on sustainable emerging markets government bonds and corporate bonds worldwide.
The iShares JP Morgan ESG USD EM Bond UCITS ETF USD (Dist) allows investors to participate in the performance of US dollar-denominated government or quasi-government bonds of emerging markets. The reference index includes government bonds with a high ESG rating. Issuers that have any interest in coal, tobacco or weapons and are named as violators of the United Nations Global Impact Principles for Corporate Sustainability are excluded from the index.
The iShares USD Corp Bond SRI 0-3yr UCITS ETF USD (Dist) allows investors to participate in the performance of investment grade US dollar-denominated corporate bonds with a residual maturity of three years or less and a minimum outstanding amount of USD300 million. The reference index excludes companies whose products have a negative social or environmental impact. These include companies identified by three ESG audits as manufacturers or producers of alcohol, tobacco, gambling, adult entertainment, genetically modified organisms, nuclear power, civil or military weapons.
