Horizons ETFs has completed the quarterly rebalance of the constituent holdings of the Horizons Emerging Marijuana Growers Index ETF.
HMJR seeks to replicate, to the extent possible, the performance of the Emerging Marijuana Growers Index, net of expenses. The Emerging Marijuana Growers Index is designed to provide exposure to the performance of a basket of primarily North American publicly listed small-capitalisation companies primarily involved in the cultivation, production and/or distribution of marijuana.
HMJR invests in small-market-capitalisation companies with market capitalisations generally between CAD50 million and CAD $500 million. The ETF’s portfolio is 100 per cent invested in marijuana producers and distributors, and it can have exposure to companies outside of North America.
“The Marijuana equity sector continues to expand globally. This quarter, we saw the portfolio add another 15 new stocks, including its first Israeli-listed company, Together Pharma Ltd,” says Steve Hawkins, President and CEO of Horizons ETFs. “As the Marijuana equity sector expands globally with increased legalisation of medical and recreational cannabis, we anticipate the universe of eligible names for HMJR to continue to grow.”
