Stephanie Butcher is to join Jeff Taylor as co-manager of Invesco’s GBP2.1 billion Invesco European Equity Fund (UK).
Taylor, Head of European Equities, says: “Stephanie and I have worked together for 15 years, over which time the wider team has developed a shared investment philosophy.”

Butcher has over 25 years’ investment experience having begun her career at Lazard Asset Management as a graduate trainee in 1993 where she progressed to become a US fund manager responsible for institutional and retail portfolios. From there she joined Aberdeen Asset Management in 1997, initially as a US portfolio manager responsible for insurance and institutional funds, then moving onto their European equities desk in 1998 as a retail fund manager. She joined Invesco in 2003 where she is now responsible for a number of European equity portfolios, specialising in European equity income investing.
Invesco has been managing European equities for over 30 years and manages GBP8.6 biulion in European equities. Overall Stephanie manages over GBP3 billion in assets across equity, income and absolute return portfolios.
Taylor has managed the Invesco European Equity Fund since 2001 and delivered stable long-term performance. The fund has outperformed the FTSE World Europe Ex UK index TR and the IA Europe ex UK NR sector over five and ten years.4 There will be no change to the objectives or investment style of the Fund.
The Fund aims to achieve capital growth by investing primarily in shares of companies in Europe ex UK, although it may include other European related investments. The fund is actively managed and remains focused on taking advantage of valuation anomalies through bottom-up stock selection and is sector and country agnostic.
