Wilshire Associates partners with Convoy

Wilshire Associates (Wilshire) is partnering with Convoy Asset Management Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-based financial advisory firm Convoy Global Holdings Limited (Convoy) to enhance Convoy’s fund due diligence process, risk classification methodology and the current suite of proprietary model portfolios to meet the increasingly complex needs of its growing client base.

Convoy offers insurance, MPF, funds, securities, money transfer and mortgages to individual clients and is one of the largest financial advisory and services firms in Hong Kong. As one of the first broker-dealers in Hong Kong to leverage an institutional approach to its investing process, Convoy’s collaboration with Wilshire represents an important next step in the evolution of the firm’s investment solutions.
“Convoy is deeply committed to developing innovative solutions for our diverse clients, and we have recognised the need to provide an even higher level of service as our clients navigate today’s complex market environment,” says Wing-Fai Ng, Group President at Convoy. “Wilshire is a proven industry leader and its powerful institutional capabilities will undoubtedly improve our clients’ ability to meet their future financial goals.  We are excited to upgrade our fund platform to better serve the retail investors and to offer professionally managed, customised and competitively priced portfolio solutions to better serve the underserved mass affluent client segment.”
With more than USD1 trillion in assets under advisement, Wilshire has advised several of the largest institutional investors in the United States for over 30 years. This relationship enables Convoy to leverage Wilshire’s decades of institutional consulting excellence in the areas of asset allocation, manager research, and risk management to ultimately provide its clients with access to world-class investment solutions.
“We are thrilled to partner with Convoy in the enhancement of its fund due diligence process, risk classification methodology and model portfolio offering,” says Jason Schwarz, President of Wilshire Funds Management and Wilshire Analytics. “We deliver our clients access to the same investment discipline and methodologies used by sophisticated, institutional investors, and we look forward to working together with Convoy to bring this knowledge to their own client base.”
